As of now,Discussions are still going in the university
about Exemption Subject rules for the award of PC & CMM... Official and
finalized details will be released soon.

As Per EXEMPTION SUBJECT rules for(REGULAR) R10
REGULATION,a student can leave 8 credits out of 208 Total credits for the award
of PC or CMM
·
As Per EXEMPTION Academic rules FOR R10
REGULATION,a student can leave only 2 subjects from total of 4 years for award
of PC or CMM,irrespective of total 8
credits that can be left
·
For lateral Entry students,they can also leave 8
credits from total of 170 credits...As per preliminary info ,a lateral entry
student can leave any 2 subjects from their total 3 academic years... However A
lateral student also cannot leave laboratories and project ....

If a student wants to leave subjects from any
year,he can leave only 2 subjects from a total of 4 years
·
As per first year credits rule, one subject is
equal to 2 credits.....so for those who are having more than 2 backlogs in
first year,the student should be aware that for the award of PC/CMM he can
leave only 2 subjects from any 4 years irrespective of credits....

A student cannot leave laboratories and
project for the award of PC/CMM
·
But,However a student can leave Lab based
Subjects(like EDC ,NA,ET etc............) as per PRELIMINARY INFO for the award of PC/CMM
To be more clear,
BELOW ARE SOME CASES,IN WHICH A PC/CMM CAN/CANNOT NOT BE
AWARDED...
Note 1:
If a student has more that 2 backlogs in first year,he
cannot be awarded a degree...
Note 2 :
For example,A student has 3 backlogs....2 backlogs in first
year(4 CREDITS) and 1 backlog(4 CREDITS) in any of the 3 years(be it 2nd
year/3rd/4th)...... PC/CMM cannot be awared
because he can leave only 2 subjects from total 4 years eventhough total credits that can be left 8
Note 3 :
For example,A student has 2 backlogs....1 backlog
(`2CREDITS)in first year and 1 backlog(4 CREDITS) in any of the 3 years(be it
2nd year/3rd/4th)...... PC/CMM can be awared
because he can leave only 2 subjects from total 4 years
Note 4 :
Also a student can be
awarded a degree, if he has only 2 backlogs form 1st/2nd/3rd/4th year...
